Robin Tunney leads in The Fix
In this short-lived tv series Robin Tunney played the lead role of Maya Travis, a battle scarred and world weary former L.A. District Attorney
Released in February, 2019 the show was developed in part by Marcia Clark, former deputy district attorney for Los Angeles County, California who became famous for unsuccessfully prosecuting the 1995 O.J. Simpson murder case. The series ran for one season, made up of ten episodes.
Robin Tunney played Maya Travis, a former Los Angeles assistant district attorney (DA) who resigned in disgrace and moved to Washington after her career was ruined by her failure to successfully prosecute a famous actor for a double murder (perhaps a case of fiction following fact?). When the killer strikes again eight years later she returns to LA. This time Maya will seek Justice on her terms.
On review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, the critical consensus noted "Powerful performances by Robin Tunney and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje” but the show couldn’t seem to resolve what some felt was a sense that viewers would find the show’s concept to be self-serving, possibly an attempted rewriting of recent history. Depending on your location, the TV series is available on streaming services.
