The Mentalist cast at Paley Fest 2009
In the tradition of Paley Fest the cast of the Mentalist took to the stage to share their experiences and cast dynamic on the show.
Billed as the premier TV festival, this annual fan event hosted by the Paley Centre for Media in Los Angeles, brings together fans and stars of prospective TV shows for panel discussions and Q&A time. Unfortunately due to scheduling issues, Tim Kang (Kimball Cho) was unable to participate in this entertaining event.
Bruno Heller, an English screenwriter, producer and director of a number of popular shows created The Mentalist and joins the cast onstage to share his insights. He is also joined by Chris Long, another English producer and director with his role in the production being executive producer.
Part 2 of this panel event delved into the cast’s experiences with psychics and hypnotists as well as Bruno discussing his plans around character relationships on the show and his thought process. The Jane/Lisbon relationship gets a review as well. Finally, they move into some Simon Baker trivia to the delight of the panel.
The final part of this event opens up the floor to the audience for questions and about the iconic car.
The way Paley Fest is a snapshot in time for a show makes these videos interesting. The only loss is that Tim Kang wasn’t able to join the rest of the cast for this event. That would have been something.
